Erik Crowl, other wise known as Reactor, is a DJ/producer from New York City. Erik first fell in love with dance music at the young age of 12 when he first heard “Pretty Rave Girl” by DJ s3rl and “Ravers Fantasy” by Manian. Some of his musical inspirations include Showtek, Kayzo, Lowriderz and Pegboard Nerds.
At 18, he started attending raves and realized that the lack of good music in the local scene was the push he needed to start making his own music. By the time he was 19, he knew he wanted to pursue producing the music he loved. Since then, Erik has achieved impressive milestones. Reactor has sold out some of the largest underground hard dance parties in New York City alongside Noisecontrollers, Frontliner, Brennan Heart, Zatox, Technoboy, Wildstylez, Coone and Audiofreq.
Among his highlights, Reactor began taking the stage to perform for wider audiences. In 2015, Reactor held a slot at Mysterland’s Q-Dance stage. In 2016, Reactor was the first American hard dance act to play the famous “Melkweg” nightclub in Amsterdam for a Hard with Style label party alongside Da Tweekaz, Psycho Punkz, Alex Kidd and Frontliner. In 2017, Reactor sold out his first two Headlining events, “Get Shwifty” in Brooklyn, and “UNITE Tour” in Philadelphia, something no American hard dance act of this time has ever done!
Reactor’s momentum continued through his Beatport recognitions. “Alone” was #1 on Beatport’s hard dance charts, while “Party” hit #2 and other tracks such as “Cyborg”, ”Energy” and “Recall” all made the top 5. Reactor has been featured on big name podcasts such as LOUDER, Hard with Style, XXcelerator, and Q-Dance NEXT.
Representing American hard dance as one of the top contenders, Reactor is all about high energy. With a philosophy that life is a party, seeing him live will cement that statement in your memory.
